How does the Levo R differ from the Turbo Levo 4?
While the Levo 4 is a "big travel" bike (160/150mm) built for rugged descents, the Levo R has a shorter-travel (140/130mm) keeping it well above capable for rugged terrain.
The Levo R is also roughly 2.6 kg lighter depending on model and size, uses a dedicated 29-inch rear wheel (instead of a Mullet 27.5"), and features a redesigned, slimmer carbon chassis.
Does the Levo R have a smaller motor since it’s lighter?
No. Unlike the Levo SL, which uses a lightweight mid-power motor, the Levo R uses the full-power Specialized 3.1 motor. You get the same 101-111Nm of torque and 810-850W of peak power found in the Levo 4 models, but in a much lighter package.
Does the bike include theft protection?
Yes. Through the Specialized App, you can utilize the Turbo System Lock to disable the motor and arm a motion-sensing alarm. Additionally, the MasterMind TCU includes Apple Find My integration, allowing you to track your bike's location.
